Wild Betta Fish Is Exotic

 Beautiful colorful betta fish will not be found in the wild. This is because many betta fish come from ornamental fish cultivators. They are the result of crosses betta fish that have gone through a very long stage. There are very many species of betta fish today, and some of them are natural betta or wild betta species. 

Betta Fish are fighting fish, as they tend to have their own territory. There may be some betta fish that can live in colonies. But of course with very strict rules. Fighting can happen when there are two males in a certain area.

For wild betta fish, we  know such as Betta SP, Betta Bellica, Betta Coccina, Betta Chanoides or Snack Head Betta, Betta Imbellis, Betta Mahachaiensis, Betta Patoti, Betta Picta, Betta Samaragdina. Some of them may be difficult to found in nature.


 Maybe the wild betta fish is the ancestor of the ornamental betta fish that we often encounter today. Wild Betta fish habitat in nature is swamps, lakes, lakes, rivers with calm water currents. can usually be found in Southeast Asia.
